We help dogs communicate, guide their play and notice when someone needs a pause or a little more space.
Training in real moments
Our team practises recall, settling on a bed or mat, and sitting calmly near other dogs, as well as the everyday habits that come up through the day.
Rest is part of the day
Dogs have time and support to settle, with rest arrangements suited to the individual.
Space for shy dogs
Dogs who need more space can watch, take breaks and get to know suitable company gradually. Our team helps them take the next step when they’re ready.

Room to move, space to settle
There’s plenty of space indoors and out for dogs to play, learn and take a break. Real grass in our courtyard gives them a familiar place to toilet, helping maintain good toileting habits.
Soft, familiar surroundings
Carpets, couches, rugs, blankets and dog beds make the space comfortable and homey. We also use ADAPTIL® as part of our approach to helping dogs feel at ease.
Carefully chosen rewards
We motivate and reward dogs with quality food made with real meat, rather than kibble or fatty treats. A wide range of single-protein options helps us accommodate food sensitivities and allergies. We’ll discuss what suits your dog.

Up to three hours and a verbal debrief. Includes GST.
Time to get to know your dog, understand the company and support that suit them, and give you useful feedback about ongoing care.
We’ll agree the date, arrival and collection details with you before the visit.

These examples include 10 visits, once a week. Your total depends on your chosen days and dates. For two or more regular days a week, the price per visit is lower.

Joining partway through the term? We’ll price the remaining agreed dates. Let us know your planned away dates before you accept so we can leave them out.

Membership is paid in advance. We’ll confirm your days, dates and total price before you decide. If your dog needs extra support, we’ll discuss any additional cost with you first.

A calm handover, time outdoors to toilet and explore, then a gradual start with familiar people and suitable company.

Thoughtfully chosen groups and guided play. Dogs can join in, take a break or enjoy company from a little further away.

Full-day members practise recall, settling on a bed or mat, and sitting and staying near suitable classmates, with support from our team.

A comfortable place to switch off, together or with more space and individual support where needed.

After rest, more time for suitable play, company and practice being comfortable around other dogs.

Catch up at collection
Useful observations about their day, and sometimes something to practise at home. Dogs enrolled for the entire term also receive an end-of-term report.
MEET TAYLOR & THE TEAM
Built around Taylor’s understanding of dogs.
Taylor founded Tailored Dogs out of her love of dogs and passion for canine behaviour.
Taylor holds a degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience. Her approach is informed by behaviour and learning science, and starts with getting to know the individual dog: what helps them feel comfortable, who they enjoy being around and when they need a hand to settle.
Taylor works alongside our team, sharing her approach through hands-on training. Together, they guide introductions, practise everyday skills and help dogs settle.
We’ll be honest with you about whether Tailored Dogs is the right fit for your dog and the care we can offer.
Consistency is essential.
Changing behaviour takes consistent practice. Familiar people, regular attendance and the same guidance at home help your dog understand what’s expected and build on what they learn here.
Membership is a shared commitment to your dog’s training. If they join us once a week, we ask you to keep practising between visits too. Carrying that learning into everyday life can help them make progress faster.

We work with shy dogs who need space and a gradual introduction. They can watch, take breaks and get used to suitable company without pressure to play. Previous daycare experience isn’t necessary. We’ll discuss what helps your dog and use the trial to see whether our setting suits them.
How are dogs grouped?
We look at confidence, play style, communication and how particular dogs feel together. Groups and activities can change through the day. Dogs can enjoy company without needing to play all the time.
What does training during daycare involve?
We practise everyday skills such as recall, settling on a bed or mat, and staying calm around other dogs. Training is adapted to the dogs taking part. We’ll suggest ways to keep practising at home; more detailed advice is available through a separately booked call with Taylor or private training session.
How do we choose the right days?
Tell us the regular days you have in mind. After the trial, we’ll discuss what suits your dog and the places available, then agree their days with you. Compare membership options.
Can we join partway through a term?
Yes, if we have a suitable place. Your membership covers the agreed days remaining in the term. We’ll confirm the dates and total price with you.
What happens during the trial?
The trial is a chance for us to meet your dog and see how they respond to the setting, the people and suitable company. It includes up to three hours of assessment and care, followed by a verbal debrief. We’ll explain what we observed and discuss whether ongoing daycare would suit them.
What if we have a holiday planned or miss a day?
Tell us about planned holidays before accepting your membership so we can leave those dates out. If you miss an included visit, we can discuss a replacement day, subject to space and suitability. Unused visits may qualify for credit towards the following term under the Membership Terms.
What if Tailored Dogs isn’t the right fit?
We’ll be honest with you. The conversation and trial help us understand whether your dog will be comfortable here and whether we can provide the care they need. If another approach would suit them better, we’ll explain what we’ve observed and talk through an appropriate next step.
